Since 1931, the Friends School Haverford Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has played an important role in the life of the school. The PTO is an active and vital organization comprised of all FSH parents charged with the mission of planning activities that enhance the School experience and promote community. The PTO also organizes parents to provide a helping hand to the teachers, and fosters communication between parents, teachers and school administration. Finally, the PTO helps raise funds to support the Community Scholarship Program as well as other school projects.
The PTO meets monthly and all parents are encouraged to attend and get involved in the myriad of community activities that go on during the year. The PTO raises money through events such as the Footsteps for Friends Race, the Book Fair and the Spring Auction. In addition, “friendraising” events such as Pumpkin Day, the All School Family Fun Day, and the Spring Fair bring a real sense of joy and community to Friends School Haverford families, friends and neighbors.
