Guided Reading

Books Arranged by Guided Reading Level

These trade books are available at many public libraries as well as bookstores. If you don’t know your student’s guided reading level, scan the titles until you find books your student can read independently and try other books at the same level.

Once students are past guided reading level S, it is more important for them to choose books they will enjoy than to choose by reading level, if a book is for recreational reading.

Please be aware that the above books are not arranged by appropriate interest level, but simply by reading level. If you need specific guidance, please consult a children’s librarian, a knowledgeable bookshop clerk, or your child’s teacher.
