Summer Camp Teachers and Assistant Teachers
Friends School Haverford is looking for talented, passionate, and caring Summer Camp Teachers and Assistant Teachers to join our team this summer!
Ideal candidates will have experience teaching early childhood aged children (ages will range from 3-7) in a collaborative, play-based environment, as well as strong classroom management skills.
The Lead Summer Camp Teacher will work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, and be supported by the Program Director. Teachers lead a group of 12-16 students through particular classes and activities by creating and executing lesson plans in accordance to the weekly rotating theme of the camp.
Assistant Teachers will work alongside Lead Teachers in each class as both a leader and classroom member. Assistants are there to guide and be examples, aiding lead teachers while also fostering collaboration between campers.
This is a summer position taking place from June 15 to August 21, 2026. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. There are two required orientation days in June, with final dates TBD. The program takes place on the campus of Friends School Haverford at 851 Buck Ln, Haverford PA 19041.
