2027 Tuition & Program Updates
Beginning in 2027, Friends School Haverford will no longer offer 3-day enrollment options in any program.
Half-day enrollment will be limited to 12 total spaces across the school. There will be two spaces in each 1s, 2s, and 3s classroom. Half-day enrollment is not available for Pre-K or Kindergarten.
If you are seeking a half-day space, we encourage you to enroll early, as availability will be limited.
2027 tuition is pending board approval. Families can anticipate an increase of approximately 5–9% for the 1s program and 3–5% for 2s, preschool, and Pre-K programs. Final tuition will be shared once approved.
The School day for everyone will be 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Early Bird care will begin at 7:30 am and Extended Day will close at 6 pm.

Tuition for 2026-2027
This year, the tuition structure has changed to a flat tuition for all ages and grade levels.
- The tuition for all grades, from age 1 through kindergarten, will be $21,012.
- Our Extended Day program fee is $4,326 for 5 days a week and Early Birds will remain free of cost. More information on these programs can be found here.
In the upcoming school year, we have simplified and adapted the choices for part-time schedules. Prekindergarten, kindergarten, and the one year old class will be full-time.
Nursery and preschool will have two additional schedule options. In addition to full-time, nursery and preschool can choose 5 half-day and 3 full-day spaces.

Discounts and Financial Aid
We will continue to offer limited financial aid to families who have submitted a Financial Aid Application via Clarity. All full-time students in all grades are eligible for Financial Aid.

Educator Discount
At Friends School Haverford, we recognize and value the dedication of educators who devote their careers to nurturing and inspiring children. To honor their contributions, we are pleased to offer an Educator Discount to eligible families.
Eligibility
Families in which at least one parent or legal guardian is employed full time as a K–12 educator at a public, charter, independent, parochial, or private school as well as those employed by an institution of higher education are eligible to receive a 10% tuition discount. Parents or guardians employed Full Time in educational roles outside of K–12 settings—including early childhood education, educational consulting, museums, nonprofit organizations, or other learning environments—are welcome to apply for consideration. Eligibility for these positions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Eligible positions may include, but are not limited to:
- Classroom teachers
- Special education teachers
- School counselors
- School administrators
- Instructional coaches
- Librarians and media specialists
- School nurses
- Other full-time or part-time K–12 school-based educators
- Professors
- Assistant Professors
- Coordinators
Verification Requirements
To receive the Educator Discount, families must provide current documentation verifying employment status each school year. Acceptable documentation includes one of the following:
- A current employment verification letter on official school or organizational letterhead
- A copy of a current employee identification badge
- A recent pay stub dated within the past 60 days
- A signed employment contract for the upcoming school year
Documentation must clearly indicate the employer’s name, the employee’s name, and the individual’s role or position.
Additional Terms
- The Educator Discount must be requested annually and is not automatically renewed.
- Only one tuition discount may be applied per child. Tuition discounts may not be combined or stacked.
- When multiple discounts are available, the school will apply the discount that provides the greatest benefit to the family.
- The Educator Discount does not apply to fees, deposits, or other non-tuition charges.
- Friends School Haverford reserves the right to request additional documentation to verify eligibility.
Sibling Discount
At Friends School Haverford, we value the connections that siblings bring to our community and recognize the investment families make when enrolling more than one child. To support families with multiple children enrolled simultaneously, the school offers a 10% sibling discount for each additional child.
Eligibility
Families with two or more children enrolled concurrently at Friends School Haverford are eligible for the sibling discount.
The discount is applied as follows:
- The child with the highest tuition rate is billed at full tuition.
- Each additional enrolled sibling receives a 10% discount on their individual tuition.
- The sibling discount applies only while siblings are enrolled concurrently.
Examples: For a family with two children enrolled at an annual tuition rate of $21,012 per child
- Child 1: $21,012
- Child 2: $18,910.80 (10% sibling discount applied)
Total annual family tuition: $39,922.80
Additional Terms
- Only one tuition discount may be applied per child. Tuition discounts may not be combined or stacked.
- When multiple discounts are available, the school will apply the discount that provides the greatest benefit to the family.
- The sibling discount applies to tuition only and does not apply to fees, deposits, extended care, enrichment programs, or other non-tuition charges.
- The sibling discount is prorated for students who enroll after the start of the school year.
- Friends School Haverford reserves the right to amend or discontinue the sibling discount program at its discretion.
Families who qualify for both the educator and sibling discounts may receive only one discount per family. The educator discount will be applied to the tuition of one child; no sibling discount will be applied to additional children.
In the event that a family qualifies for a discount and receives financial aid, the total net tuition will be calculated as follows:
Full tuition-financial aid award-10%= Net tuition. Additional program costs are calculated after all applied discounts and financial aid.

Referral Bonus:
Do you know a family who might love FSH as much as you do? If a family that you refer fully enrolls, we will waive $75 from your first month’s tuition for the first family you refer and an additional $50 for every family thereafter!

Late Fees
- 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. → $25
- After 6:30 p.m. → $50 per additional 30 minutes. All fees are billed to the student’s account.
Tuition Payment Plan Options Available:
All tuition payments are managed through Brightwheel.
Families may choose from the following options:
- 1. One Payment – Full tuition due in July.
- 2. Two Payments – 60% due in July and 40% due on January 15.
- 3. Ten Payments – Total tuition spread over 10 equal payments from July through April.
Tuition Refund Plan (optional)
If your child must withdraw before the end of the school year, FSH offers an optional tuition refund plan through A.W.G. Dewar, Inc.
- The cost is 2.4% of total tuition.
