Please read the following message in its entirety before registering for summer camp.
CAMP WEEKS - Our summer camp runs Monday through Friday from June 16th to August 22nd. Please note that we will be closed on Thursday, June 19th, in honor of Juneteenth. We will also be closed for the entire week from June 30th to July 4th. Furthermore, please note that limited camper spaces are available, and no aftercare will be provided in Week 10, August 18th, and August 22nd.
REGISTERING FOR CAMP - When registering for summer camp, please note that you must complete a separate registration form for each child and select each week individually. Please choose the correct options for your camper, such as before and aftercare, seedlings partial day, seedlings full day, and great oaks. Each option is fully explained below.
CANCELLATION & REFUND - The payment of tuition for camp and of the fees noted above is a requirement for your child’s enrollment in our program. The tuition and fees charges are determined after careful consideration by Friends School Haverford. Our summer camp program substantially relies on these tuition and fees payments to operate the program. All payments of tuition and fees are non-refundable.
Summer Camp at Friends School Haverford reserves the right to cancel or modify individual programs due to enrollment or weather concerns, and you agree that the duties and obligations of the school under this Agreement may be suspended immediately without notice because of force majeure events, including, but not limited to, fire, acts of God, war, governmental action, measures of any governmental authority, terrorism, epidemic, disease, pandemic, natural disaster, or any other event that would negatively affect the safe operations of the camp that are beyond the control of school. If such a force majeure event occurs, the duties and obligations of the school may be suspended or postponed until such time as the school, in its sole, reasonable discretion, may safely reopen the camp.
Friends School Haverford may terminate a children’s continued attendance at camp at any time in its sole discretion for reasons that include, but are not limited to: (1) a violation of rules, regulations, requirements or policies; (2) violent, threatening, intimidating or otherwise unlawful behavior; or (3) insubordination to school authorities. Such conduct can be on the part of a parent/guardian or of a camper, and may occur anywhere including on the campus, at camp events or programs, via an electronic or digital platform, or in any other place or circumstance that is connected with, related to, or reflects upon the camp.
Additionally, Friends School Haverford may, in its sole discretion, determine that a student does not meet the camp’s conduct requirements, or that a student has behavioral, health or emotional needs that Friends School Haverford is not prepared to meet. In such cases, Friends School Haverford may terminate a child’s attendance.
COMPLETED FORMS - Please ensure all registration forms are complete and contain all the necessary information, such as parental contacts, emergency contacts, medical information, allergy information, etc. Incomplete forms will not hold a camper's place, as we cannot safely care for your children without all the required information.
AFTERCARE - When registering for camp, please fill out the aftercare option first, either electing or declining aftercare. The regular camp day starts at 9 am and ends at 3:00 pm. Campers should be dropped off between 8:30 and 9:00 am (No campers can be dropped off before 8:30 am). There is no charge for this half hour, and you don't need to tell us if you will arrive during this window. All campers should be picked up between 2:45 and 3:00 pm. If you want your camper to stay for aftercare between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm this summer, you must elect the aftercare option and pay a one-time $50.00 aftercare fee. You do not need to spend per week for aftercare as you do for the camp tuition, just this one-time fee. Please note that no aftercare is provided in Week 10 from August 18th to August 22nd.
SEEDLINGS PARTIAL DAY OPTION - If a shorter day works better for your family, you can choose the Seedlings Partial Day Option for younger campers. You will still drop off between 8:30 am.. and 9:00 am.., but you will pick up between 12:45 pm.. and 1:00 pm. You will pay a reduced tuition of $340 per week vs. the Seedlings Full Day option, which is $340. If you choose the Seedlings Partial Day Option, please still fill out the Before and Aftercare form, simply declining the aftercare
SEEDLINGS FULL DAY OPTION - If you would like full-day care for your Seedlings (meaning that you will drop them off between 8:30 am and 9:00 am and pick them up between 2:45 pm and 3:00 pm), please fill out the Before and Aftercare section first and then select this option for each week of interest. This option is $440 a week.
GREAT OAKS - The Great Oaks program is for children entering 1st through 5th grade; no partial-day option is available. All campers signed up for the Great Oaks Program will be dropped off between 8:30 am and 9:00 am and picked up between 2:45 pm and 3:00 pm. If you are registering children for this option, please complete the Before and Aftercare form and select the Great Oaks option for each interest week. This option is $440 a week.
